Mt Mackay Tower Installation

Helipower was selected by Ergon Energy as the helicopter service provider for the Mt Mackay Tower Installation project.  The scope of the project including:

• Erecting a new 21m self-supporting tower
• Erecting a new site hut (emergency shelter)
• Installing two new AC Generators and associated cabling and equipment
• Removing and re-installing solar panels and regulators.

Our services encompassed aerial lifting, both basic and precision, and crew transfers.  Despite facing significant weather challenges, we successfully completed this project in August 2023.  This project demonstrated Helipower’s professionalism, skill, efficiency, and safety-conscious approach among our pilots and ground crews, in getting the job done.
